I never considered myself a professional keynote speaker
I’ve been a “public speaker” for years now. I even competed since I was 7 years old. Latter in life I used my public speaking in social service and more recently in business. I never considered myself a professional keynote speaker until now.
Yes, I’ve done many training classes and seminars but not with a speaker mindset. Now I have the speaker mindset!
Tomorrow I have a 1:15 hour presentation at a local college to help students prepare their carrier. I am very excited! I only wished when I was that age that an executive would teach me how to find a job, or start a business, or network, learn self promotion and more.
I whent to my first NSA – National Speakers Association meeting on Friday in the San Diego chapter. It was a great meeting with outstanding people. Many professional keynote speakers, trainers and seminar facilitators. I had a great time and am looking forward to the next meeting.
